Three Sisters Kitchen is turning TWO!
Thank you for all you’ve done to build Three Sisters Kitchen, and shape and support our mission to use the power and love of local food to create economic opportunity, improve community health, and bring our diverse communities together around the table. As we approach our second birthday (August 24th!) we’re reaching out to our beloved community in hopes that you will help us celebrate.
This year we will miss hosting hundreds of you to dance and break bread together. But we are grateful for all the work you do, and for showing your love and commitment to community by masking up, staying home, and continuing to build together in new ways.
In the absence of the big party, we are hoping you will help us celebrate by recording and sending us a short video or photo for our virtual birthday celebration.
Here is how you can be involved:
1) Record a 10-30 second video (or send a photo and a quote) that answers the following prompts:
– Who are you and what is your relationship to Three Sisters Kitchen?
– What is something that you love about Three Sisters Kitchen?
– What is your birthday wish or hope for the future for Three Sisters Kitchen?
2) E-mail your clip to [email protected] by August 21st for us to compile and share via our social media channels throughout our birthday week
3) Visit our social media channels (Insta and FB) @ThreeSistersKitchenNM the week of August 24th to help us celebrate!

- ” I love this frittata shared by the food network. You can put ANYTHING you have at home in the frittata! I like to add different vegetables, such as bell peppers, mushroom, onion, broccoli, leafy greens, in my frittata. You can also add some milk or plant-based milk and top with the cheese you have on hand. I made this at home using the cheese from Tucumcari cheese! It was delicious!” – Lisa
- “I like this cilantro lime tuna wrap because it is a quick meal option for a busy day. I also like that I can use different vegetables I have on hand, such as tomatoes, cucumber, celery, avocados (they are actually fruits), or broccoli, to make different combinations of the wrap“
– Lisa
- “Want to have more flavor for your water? Making your own infused water is a great option during summer! Infused fruits and herbs you have at home can not only look beautiful but also helps you to get more vitamins when drinking water! One example of making infused water is to add mint leaves and sliced lemon or lime in the water! You will be getting vitamin C from citrus and plant compounds from mint, which can help with abdominal discomfort” – Lisa
