What is cheese and what are its health benefits?

Cheese is a dairy product made from different combinations of milk, salt, an enzyme called rennet, and a “good bacteria”. You may have eaten cow’s milk cheese, goat’s milk cheese, or sheep’s milk cheese! Cheese comes in all sorts of flavors and textures. Parmesan is a hard cheese with a sharp flavor. Cottage cheese is a soft cheese with a mild flavor. Cheese is a good source of calcium and protein, which are important for bone and muscle health. Check out this Asparagus mushroom melt recipe. You can add a side salad to go with this delicious recipe!

Recipes We Love!

  • This roasted cauliflower steak recipe is simple to make. You can replace the lemon juice with tangelo juice. This recipe is high in vitamin C, which is important for wound healing and immunity.
  • This asparagus quiche is versatile. You can add cauliflower and winter greens to the mixture before baking and serve with a side salad with avocados and tangelos!
  • This egg salad wrap recipe is easy and nutritious. Using TSK: Spice Shake is a great way to add flavor, without adding a lot of extra sodium.
