Cooking for Generations

Cooking for Generations is a documentary film series that connects young filmmakers with home cooks to celebrate the diverse foods found in New Mexican kitchens.

At Three Sisters Kitchen we believe that sharing our food stories and traditions is an important part of building healthy communities. Our Cooking for Generations: Stories of Tradition and Love from New Mexico Kitchens documentary film series connects young filmmakers with home cooks to celebrate the diverse food traditions found in our beautiful state, and tells the stories of who we are, where we come from, and where we are going.

The project began in 2016 when Anzia Bennett, Theresa Pasqual, and Debi Randall produced the first 8 films in partnership with non-profit arts and education organization Working Classroom, teaching artists Michael Lorenzo Lopez and Adria Malcolm, lab technician Carlos Gabaldon, and with the generous support of the Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance.
