Featured Bag Item

Heirloom Tomatoes are colorful tomatoes that are often open-pollinated. Meaning that they are naturally pollinated by birds, insects, wind or human hands. Farmers take the seed that is produced by a good tomato plant and use this to plant multiple times, season to season. These tomatoes also come in different shapes and sizes. Learn more on bon appetit.
Tomatoes have Vitamin A and C, and eating them raw they have vitamin E. The minerals they have are folic acid, potassium, and calcium. Lycopene is also in tomatoes; it gives them their red color and potent antioxidant.
Cleaning Tips: always rinse with water, rubbing the surface with your hands, to gently get off any dirt, bacteria, or wax.
Storage Tip: These should be stored in a cool room temperature area. Not in the refrigerator and should be used in a few days.
Cooking Tips: Tomatoes can be eaten raw, boiled, steamed, fried, grilled and sauteed. Make them in a sauce or eat them on a sandwich or salad.
